superfly라는 모기가 있는데, 한군데 정착하지 못하고 정처없이 떠돌아 다니는 모기라고 합니다.

내 superfly의 날개를 떼어달라고 말하는 거 보니까, 이제 너에게 정착해서 살고싶다.

뭐 이런 의미로 해석됩니다.

 

아마도 결혼을 생각하는 노래이겠죠. 직접적으로 marry라는 단어는 나오지 않지만요.

 

나의 날개를 떼어버릴 만큼 멋진 그 사람은

그 사람의 말이 굉장히 nice해서 내 마음이 go bang band 하는 사람이겠죠?

(가사를 인용한 것이니 갑자기 왠 영어냐고 놀라지 마시길 :D )

 

 

그렇지만, 가사에서 보면 알 수 있듯이

이 주인공의 상대는 아직 고백을 하지 않은 것 같습니다.

그래서 지쳐있고,(I'm so misused)

그리고 약간 이런 주인공의 태도에 대해 혼란스러워 하는 듯 보입니다.(you're so confused)

아무래도 superfly같은 사람이 갑자기 태도를 바꾼것에 대한 혼란스러움이겠죠.

 

 

아무튼, 상대를 설득하기 위해서 주인공은

나는 너무 외롭게 지금까지 살았고 너는 너무 바보같이 살았다 라고 얘기합니다.

(well I've been alone and you've been a fool)

그리고 결혼이라는 것은 golden rule이라고 말하고 자신이 그걸 너무 원한다고 말합니다.

(don't you know that's the golden rule, don't you know that's the way I like it!)

(골든 룰을 뭐라고 한국어로 번역해야 좋을지 모르겠네요)

 

결혼이라는 것이

정상적으로 사는 것이라고 생각하는 것 같기도 합니다.

4 non blondes 는 독특한 보이스의 Linda Perry 여성보컬 밴드인데요

1992년 첫 앨범을 냈으니 굉장히 오래 된 옛날 밴드입니다.

 

유명한 노래로는 What's up 이 있구요.

 

사실 저도 음악을 잘 몰라서 이 음악 처음 들었을 때 린다페리 목소리가 남자 목소리 인줄 알았습니다.

그리고 심지어 여기 올린 동영상을 볼 때도 남자라고 생각했습니다. 하하

 

동영상으로 공연영상 찾아보니 엄청 매력적인 여성분이시더라구요. :)

청혼을 하라고 독촉하는 노래를 상대방에게 이런 톤으로 부르면 참 재밌을 것 같습니다.

 

자유로움에서 벗어나고 싶어하는 재미있는 노래 같아요

굉장히 자유로운 느낌으로 파워풀하게 부르는데 말이죠.
